The mega star revealed during her first shooting day for Regal Film’s film festival entry “Mano Po 6″ at Sofitel Philippine Plaza that early this year she discovered three lumps in her breasts. She was alarmed and so she and husband Sen. Kiko Pangilinan sought medical attention right away, but not here.

“We decided to go to Hong Kong and Singapore to have my breast examined,” Sharon said. This was to avoid undue attention especially from the media. “We did not even tell my mother, brothers, our children. They only came to know about it when we found out it was benign. The days we were waiting for the results were the longest days and hours for me and my husband.”

So that’s it, Sharon is not sick of cancer, but she related that one day, her daughter Frankie told her “my classmate said you have cancer.” Sharon told her daughter it wasn’t so, that she doesn’t have the dreaded C.

Sharon wants to tell her fns that she is healthy. “If I were sick, hindi na ako magtatrabaho, pupuntahan ko lahat ng mga grotto at simbahan sa buong mundo.”
